Our first English Springer Spaniel puppy - Angie (ALBION ANGEL Darrem Canis) appeared in our house on March 5 2002 late in the evening. A tiny spotted ball with funny long ears and a pink belly all flecked with ticking. Right after the arrival, placed on our bed, she seemed a molecule lost in the abyss of our blanket and other bedroom atributes. She kept staring at us with trust and ultimate surprise as if desiring to ask: "What is it all about? Where are my mommy, daddy, little sisters and brothers? Who are you and what am I doing here?"
The days passed quickly in the rythm of games, food, and never - ending strolls to make pee - pee. Gradually we delivered Angie the answers to all the questions above, introducing to her our home, surroundings, and habits of our family. Our older dog - Parys (Golden Retriever) did his best to show the little one the world around. He proudly walked her out, presented the garden to her (which made my mother not especially happy...;o), took all efforts to protect her against the evils of this world waiting for a little puppy. This is how a long and sincere friendship between the two dogs started.
Today we do not remember any troubles connected with Angel's up - bringing. Her little sins have been forgotten and rewarded with love, loyalty and joy which we experience everyday having her nearby. What remains in our hearts is a picture of an ideal puppy - clever, willing to obey, eager to please... On her part we hope - she will remember a happy, merry childhood spent in peace, warmth and love.
